Measure your PD

Your pupillary distance (PD) tells us where to center each lens. Measure it in a minute with your camera and any card the size of a credit card: the photo stays on your device.

  1. Any card that size works: loyalty, transit, library or ID. Turn it so its numbers can't be seen.
  2. Take off your glasses and hold the card flat against your forehead, just above your eyebrows, long side across.
  3. Press it flat so it touches your skin all over (not tilted or held away), with one finger in the middle, and keep both of its sides uncovered.
  4. Look straight at the camera from about 40 cm (16 in), with good light on your face.
